In January 1979, the Delirium I was launched. Presented to the public in New York, it was brought to life with a profile of only 1.98mm – the thinnest watch in the world.
“Delirium I” made headlines worldwide as the flattest analog watch ever made. It provided the Swiss watch industry the necessary credentials to defend its premier position in the industry, with new innovation and technical expertise proving that Switzerland remained the leading country in watch technology.
It also marked the beginning of a global trend for elegant flat watches.
